In 2002 Michael graduated cum laude from UAB’s Physician Assistant program and immediately joined the SOS team! Prior to completing the PA program, he worked as a fire medic. Since 2015 Michael has worked exclusively as a surgical PA in the operating room at The Joint Center of Alabama. He has helped our physicians with countless total joint replacement surgeries. Michael works in collaboration with both Dr. Hester and Dr. Randall both in the operating room as well as in the clinic seeing patients.
Michael has been married to his beautiful wife for 28 years. They have two lovely daughters, three precious granddaughters, and a granddaughter and grandson on the way! When Michael is not busy in the clinic, or the OR he enjoys being outdoors, especially on the water!
