Josiah grew up in Dothan and played baseball, basketball, and football at Providence Christian School. His passion for baseball led him to play at a junior college in Georgia. He transferred his sophomore year to Stillman College where he continued his collegiate baseball career and majored in biology.

Due to his love for science, Josiah knew that he wanted to work in healthcare. Josiah knew that he wanted to help people, so he pursued a nursing degree. After graduating in 2013 he attended the accelerated nursing program at the University of South Alabama. He started his nursing career at Baptist South in the ER. Josiah also spent some time working at the Jackson Hospital ER while he worked his way through NP school. Josiah graduated in 2018 and began working as a hospitalist NP with TeamHealth at Baptist Hospital. He has always had a passion for sports. Josiah joined SOS as part of our SOS Sports Medicine Team in 2021. He works in collaboration with Dr. Hooper in the operating room as well as in clinic treating patients for various sports injuries.

Josiah is married and he and his beautiful wife have a son together. In his free time, Josiah enjoys working out, trying new challenges such as Spartan races or triathlons, and spending time with his family.
