Derrick Johnson, PA

Derrick Johnson, physician assistant, has been with SOS since 2013. Derrick graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and received his degree in Physician Assistant studies. Before that he also earned a degree from UAB in business management.

He stumbled onto the healthcare field after an injury in rehabilitation. This sparked a passion to learn more. After graduation, Derrick has primarily worked in orthopedics during his career. He has also worked in family practice and internal medicine. ⠀

Derrick is a “military brat” and spent his formative years in Texas before settling in Huntsville Alabama. He is married with two children. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, running, and baking. Yes…..Baking!!
