Amy Cassady, CRNP

Amy Cassady is a native of Eclectic, Alabama. She graduated from Alabama Christian Academy. Upon graduation, she attended Auburn University of Montgomery where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2006. Amy began her Nursing career at Baptist Medical Center South in the Emergency Department. After two years in the ER, Amy transferred to the surgical ICU where she worked for five years before transferring to the cath lab.

During Amy’s tenure at Baptist South, she also worked as a Clinical Instructor for Auburn University School of Nursing teaching critical and med-surg clinical classes. In 2014, she began working on her master’s degree at Auburn University, where she also served as a graduate teaching assistant. After graduating from Auburn University in 2016 with her Master of Science in Nursing, Amy began her career as a nurse practitioner. Her first position was at Jackson Hospital for the hospitalist group in the ER. She has also worked for the Rehab/Longer-Term Care as well as the VA caring for Veterans.

In 2020, Amy began working in orthopedics with the Hughston Clinic. She joined Southern Orthopedics in January 2022 and is now employed at the Baptist OrthoNow location.

Amy is married and has two beautiful children. She enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends, Auburn football, and outdoor activities.
