Southern Orthopaedic Surgeons is proud to welcome Joshua J. Wolfe, DPM, a fellowship-trained, board-certified foot and ankle surgeon, to our growing team of specialists. Dr. Wolfe is now accepting new patients and will see patients at our offices in Montgomery, Prattville, and Wetumpka.
Dr. Wolfe brings advanced training and a patient-centered approach to foot and ankle care, offering both surgical and non-surgical solutions for a wide range of conditions affecting mobility and quality of life.

Dr. Wolfe subspecializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complex foot and ankle conditions, with particular expertise in:
- Foot and ankle arthroscopy
- Arthritis of the foot and ankle
- Reconstructive foot and ankle surgery
- Sports-related foot and ankle injuries
- Lower leg and foot deformity correction
- Lower extremity trauma
- Minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery
His approach focuses on restoring function, reducing pain, and helping patients return to an active lifestyle whenever possible.
Advanced Training and Experience
Dr. Wolfe completed a reconstructive foot and ankle fellowship at The Center for Orthopedic Research and Education (The CORE Institute) in Phoenix, Arizona, where he received advanced training in complex foot and ankle procedures. He completed his Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency with added reconstructive rearfoot and ankle certification at SSM Health DePaul Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, where he also served as Chief Resident.
He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Des Moines University and is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, with added certification in rearfoot and ankle reconstruction.
A Patient-Focused Approach
Dr. Wolfe is known for his thoughtful, individualized approach to care. He takes time to understand each patient’s goals and develops treatment plans tailored to their specific needs—whether that means conservative management or surgical intervention.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Wolfe enjoys hiking, sports, and spending time with his family, a reflection of his passion for helping patients stay active and mobile.
