Dr. Jason Randall is a Montgomery native, spending most of his childhood in Union Springs, Alabama. He grew up participating in football, baseball, and wrestling. He went on to Auburn University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences, before receiving his medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine.
Dr. Randall remained at the University of South Alabama for his surgical internship and orthopedic surgery residency, receiving the Blaine Markee Outstanding Chief Resident Award during his final year. Today, he brings that broad orthopedic training to patients throughout Central Alabama.
Dr. Randall is a general orthopedic surgeon who evaluates and treats a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. His practice includes knee, hip, and shoulder conditions, arthritis and joint pain, sports injuries, fractures, and orthopedic trauma. His surgical expertise includes shoulder arthroscopy, rotator cuff repair, total hip replacement, and MAKO robotic-assisted total knee replacement.
His broad experience also makes him a valuable resource for patients who know they need orthopedic care but may not know which type of orthopedic specialist they need.
Dr. Randall is happy to evaluate the problem, offer guidance, and begin an appropriate course of treatment. Many general orthopedic conditions can be managed throughout their course by Dr. Randall. If his evaluation identifies a condition that would benefit from the expertise of an orthopedic subspecialist, he can help guide the patient to the appropriate specialist within the practice for that specific need.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Randall serves as an Associate Professor at the University of Alabama School of Medicine, Montgomery Campus. He has contributed to orthopedic research and remains involved in professional orthopedic organizations, sharing his experience both in the classroom and within the orthopedic community.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Randall enjoys spending time with his wife, Holly, and their three children, Emma Katherine, Jackson, and Caroline. He enjoys hunting, fishing, reading, snow skiing, and watching Auburn football. He is also actively involved in the community through local charities and boards, and his commitment to service has taken him beyond Central Alabama through international mission trips to Mongolia and Brazil.
Dr. Randall sees patients at Southern Orthopaedic Surgeons in Montgomery, Prattville, and Wetumpka, Alabama.
